ONU Honors Program Application 2027

Thank you for your interest in the ONU Honors Program. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis by the ONU Honors Faculty Advisory Board with notification of acceptance occurring 2-3 weeks after submission. Applications will be accepted for consideration up until February 1, 2027. Applications received after this date will only be considered if space is still available.

Applying to the Honors Program is by invitation only. Please do not submit this application unless you have received an email inviting you to apply or have heard directly from Dr. Jennifer Moore, Director of the Honors Program.

Honors Program Essay

Your essay should respond to the following question (recommended length of 500-600 words):

An intellectual community has a unique quality, unlike any other. Think about intellectual communities you have participated in, and the common denominators that bring scholars (like you) together. How will participating in the community of the ONU Honors Program contribute to your future goals? To answer this, describe what you think the purpose of an intellectual community is, and the ways that your goals will benefit from participating in the ONU Honors community.
