JAMES F. DICKE SCHOLARSHIP


Details of the scholarship: The James F. Dicke Scholarship is a full tuition scholarship to Ohio Northern University, plus a $1,000 annual book stipend. The scholarship will renew each year for a maximum of four years. If awarded, this scholarship will replace all other ONU scholarships and awards. Students that meet the academic requirements and have declared to major in a program within the College of Business are eligible to apply. To be considered for this scholarship, students must have a minimum HS cumulative GPA of 3.5 and a minimum ACT score of 27 or SAT 1260 (Evidence-based Reading and Writing plus Math). 

After submitting your application, you will participate in the Dicke Scholarship Interview Day scheduled for Sat., January 30, 2027.  From these interviews, one student will be chosen to receive the James F. Dicke Scholarship. 


The following items are required for scholarship consideration:
(Deadline for registration is Monday, January 25, 2027)

1) Completed Dicke Scholarship Application.

2) Resume (your resume should be a reflection of your high school experiences and accomplishments including work, leadership, volunteering, and involvement).* 

3) Scholarship essay (see essay question below).* 

4) Attend the Dicke Scholarship Interview Day on Saturday, January 30, 2027. This day will include your interview along with presentations by faculty and current students about the Dicke College of Business. Details on the schedule for this date will be sent to you separately.

* The essay and resume must be attached/uploaded with your registration form.

From your perspective, what does it mean to be a leader with an ethical, analytical, and global mindset? Discuss how you plan to develop your leadership skills in those areas as a student in the Dicke College of Business Administration at Ohio Northern University.
